Do you think it's really possible to significantly alter body image? A. I just don't think it's as simple as doing some self- help exercises and being done with it. It's such a bigger societal issue. It needs to be addressed on several levels. Q. What else needs to be done? A. In a nutshell, I would like to see more work on racial differences and the cultural context of what defines ideals, how those ideals get transmitted to girls, and how that affects self- esteem. People always point to the media ? Are they getting it from the media as well, or are there other sources?
